Iraq a civil war?

I don't think Iraq is a civil war. I think the whole region is at ware. Look at it this way, you have Iraq, who are causing trouble? Iran and Siria. Then you have Israel, and the Palestions, and then there is Lebanon. Is this really just a civil war?

Pope's visit to turkey

I think it's a good thing for the Pope to visit Turkey. It gets the publicity out there in a positive way. Even though I'm not catholic, what the pope does reflex's on the rest of us christians. Perhaps we should have more religious leaders should visit muslim countries.

Online Porngraphy

Personally, I don't like watching or looking at pornography and quite frankly there are alot of viruses and stuff out there at those sites. However, I think it shouldn't be obvious.

For example, I think nude pictures should be behind a login. So that if a child does stumble across one of those sites, then they have to login to the site before seeing the image. That way, they can choose whether it's they want to see it.

Timetable = violence?

All this talk of timetables makes us look weak. That makes an inviting target to the people who want to hurt americans. Yes I do think the Iraq's need to do more. The kidnapping at the department of education is evidence of that. Perhaps as the goals are met, we should offer Iraq economic aid.

We should use Reagonomics against North Korea

I was watching a show on the Korean War, (yes war, you try telling a korean veteran it was a police action). Anywho, one thing is that we should use the same strategy we used against the soviets. While there infanstructure crumbles, we ramp up our defense spending. Perhaps we should give the money we give them to the south korea instead?

It's time to get tough

Why do we care what turkey thinks? Where we they when we needed they're help? Also are the Chinese living up to there end of the agreement? If not should we make more promises to them?

Teenscreen

I was reading about a program that screens kids for mental illness. This is the last thing we need. We should develop treatments other than drugs for mental health.

Working full-time and being a full-time student

My sister met with an academic advisor. Apparently, this academic advisor didn't like the idea of her working full-time and being a full-time student. I don't have his side of the story, and I can understand his concern. But how is she supposed to get through college? Rent costs money, tuition costs money, food costs money.

New Defense Secretary

Who ever he is I hope they don't micromanage the engagment. The defense secretary should decide policy and strategy and level the tactics to the people on the ground.

Time for the Republicians to go back to there roots

I think with the Democrats victory it's time for the republicans to go back to there roots. Lower taxes, smaller government, etc, etc.

Iraq Time table

Personally, I think that the Iraq's leaders should tell us when it's time to leave. They doing so will make be sign that they are not a "puppet government". One thing too I think is that once Saddam's sentence is carried out, people will realize he's not coming back and throw in there support. True some people aren't going to like it, but we weren't going to win there support anyway.

Is spirituality a national defense issue?

I was thinking about a comment on Fox News, it that we are militarily strong, but spiritually weak. The Terrorists know this and are taking advantage of it. So how can we increase our spirituality?
