China can't have it both ways

You know China considers Taiwan a rogue province. Well, wasn't korea once part of China? I mean if Taiwan is part of China, why not Korea?

North Korea

Thing is what we need to do is downplay our relationship with them. Because if we do anything they can essentially use south korea as a hostage. I don't know if south korea really wants us medaling with them.

Giving a ride to a coworker

I gave a ride to one of my coworkers. It wasn't much trouble, but yet I hope it made his day. We communicated through handsignals. He didn't know english. I had christian radio on. Maybe someday it will help.

Problem with multilateral action

Is that it depends on others having the same goals as you do. Well what if they dont' have the same goals? What if you have different agendas.

Hurricane Katrina Funds

After Hurricane katrina, there was this big upswelling of federal dollars that went to the area. I even donated some money. That's fine. But now I hear about how the money was mispent. Why should the government pour more money into the area if the money is mispent?

Iraq withdrawal time table

Thing is if we setup a timetable, then it appears we are losing. However, if we were to setup a rewards program based on accomplishments. The more they meet our goals the more financial incentives they receive.

President Bush visits Iraq

I think this is quite a good move. It boost the moral of the troops.

Small Groups

My church uses the small group method proposed by Rick Warren. Thing is it's like a Phalanx, in that it really only goes one way. It's very good at going that one way though. Thing is sometimes you need to change directions, to take advantage of situations.

That's what I don't like about the small group method. If you want to talk about something else... Well your out of luck. Sure small groups are a good thing. But they shouldn't be the whole means of the church helping individuals.

Another thing I don't like is all this talk about community. If you go to a small group there is a couples there. Well how can I have community when I don't have a girlfriend?

Family as the building block of civilization

Some of the christian leaders, have said we will have the fall of civilization if the family goes. Well, what do you need to have good family? Are we raising kids to be good parents? The thing is kids today probably spend more time with there video game consoles with there parents. Are the churches teaching kids to be good parents?

Thing is children are the future. You don't necessary need to come from a sterling background to be a good parent. But you do need to spend time with them.

Thing with Iran

I don't think it's about the nuclear weapons persay. Think what it's really about is the perception in international community. They could make it look like the U.S. is the bullies. Perhaps they are hoping to get support from other countries.

Zarqawi's death

U.S. military is basically persuing the bottom and working to the top. Each time they nab a guy like this they get more intel. So maybe with getting more intel they will be able to find Osama Bin Laden.

Another thing is sure they have someone in place. But you take enough of the top leadership out, it will have an impact on the Al quita's ability to organize. Also, it will send a message to discourage people from joining in the first place.

We stand divided

You know I see all these christian organizations. But do they ever work together? Seems it would be easier get more together if they worked together. Perhaps some could come together and merge.

Concentrate at the local level. At the national level, there is alot of national organizations.

We need more outlets

In battle, a unit must mass a certain amount of fire to survive. I think it's the same way in spiritual warfare, in that if christians want to win battles we must get reach the culture. I'm not just talking about having a christian channel, or christian bookstores. We need to get out into popular culture.

I hear how we are losing the culture war in america. Well, maybe it's time to change the tactics then. For example, Billy Graham Crusades, do they really change peoples lives? After they leave town what then? Do the people who get "saved" get connected to a church?
