What I don't get about online classes is, why they don't have video presentations. For instance, have the teacher talk about the subject. Perhaps have the teacher put which videos he/she wanted available.
So Senator Darling said the teacher's union's want to take down virtual schools. They want to do it since that's money they aren't getting. The thing is though, they might not get those dollars anyway. For instance, I can't really take anymore classes at the school I went to. No other college around allows me to get a bachelor degree in the degree I want. Thing is though, if the online colleges are more effective shouldn't they get more of the funding?

So a Wisconsin Senator came to Herzing, and I was there so I might as well listen. Basically I learned a few things:
- The average income in Madison is twice that of the rest of Wisconsin
- The teacher unions are trying to stop virtual schools.
- She wants to do what Ireland did, and cut taxes, and fund education. (I don't think it's a bad think if done the right way.)

You know what I don't get? The guy who doesn't believe in taking any drugs, is the guy who has too. I mean of all the people who take drugs illegally, I have to take them.
Personally, I think if there is one place where the budget can be cut it's social services. Personally, I would feel much better about my future if my money went into a 401k instead of social security. I dont' feel my money needs to be going to support someone's extra special walker.

I was watching fox business news, and I heard Nancy Pelosi sent a letter to the white house saying she wanted to get a fiscal stimulus package through. Personally, I think the best thing the government can do is to get it's own house in order. I was watching Dave Ramsey, and he said he once applied for a grant. By the time he got it, he could have made more money going out and doing something else.
Personally, one problem I think with the situation is some of the people who run for president, don't have fiscally responsible campaigns. I really like some of the ideas, like reducing the amount of government jobs that are replaced when people retire. But if they can't manage their campaign well, how are they going to do as president?

I think it time we need to revamp the fed. For instance, the reason I heard Green Span had all those rate hikes is that he was trying to kill the zero home down deals, which are turning out not so good. Here's the thing though, why didn't he recommend to congress "Hey guys why don't you do something about this, like write a bill restricting credit."

You know I was watching some talk about the primaries. It seems to me that the presidential race is a big waste of money. For example, couldn't we select a president without spending so much money? Another thing is, by costing so much it limits the people who can run.

So I was listening to the republican presidential debate on fox. Guiliani wants to build a fence along the border. Then he wants to have a "tamper proof" id system. What system ID system has every been "tamper proof"?

One thing that should should do differently than the dutch, is that if you buy a new car that's a hybrid well, we should give a tax break for that. The problem though with those cars is I don't know if how well they would do in a snowstorm. I looked at this and it had some other ideas in it.

So I saw this article on how the Dutch kicked their foreign fuel habit. Also saw this article on the Japanese using Solar panels. Perhaps we should model our energy policy after the Dutch.

So I was reading about this. Seems to me there is two ways to go about cleaning it up. One would be to sell the rights to mine the garbage. I someone must want all that material. The other would be to make a island out of it. Thing is though, archeologist's can tell about a civilization lived by the garabage it leaves behind. So what this tell about us?
